Candle Care
When it comes to burning candles, there’s a wrong and right way to do so. Read below to learn how to properly burn a Trinitee Essentials candle.
Wick Trimming
Trimming wicks is important to maintain a safe, manageable flame.
Before each burn (initial burn included), be sure to trim your wooden wick down to 1/4 inch. Remove any debris from the candle.
If you light your candle and notice the flame is too high, put the candle out, trim the wick to 1/4 inch, remove the debris by turning the candle over a trash can, and relight.
Proper Burning
- On the first light, allow the candle to burn for a minimum of 2 hours to make an even melt pool.
- Burn candle on a heat safe surface, away from flammable items.
- After lighting, do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours to avoid tunneling.
- NEVER burn a candle unattended.
- Do not burn around children or pets.
- Do not burn in drafty or windy areas.
Proper Storage
Store the candle in a cool, dark, dry place with the lid on.
